ECZ challenged to assure the nation August elections will be fair

The Jesuit Center for Theological Reflection (JCTR) has challenged the Electoral Commission of Zambia to assure the nation that the August 11, 2016 general election will be free and fair.

JCTR Executive Director Father Leonard Chiti has told QFM that the controversy on the ECZ’s choice of the printer for the ballot papers does not inspire confidence.

Fr. Chiti says the Commission should therefore give the nation an assurance that the elections will be free and fair.
