The Islamic Supreme Council of Zambia (ISCZ) has advised politicians taking part in the August 11th general election not to view each other as enemies, but as competitors.
Council President Suzyo Zimba says the moment politicians start viewing each other as enemies; they will be sending wrong signals to their supporters.
Mr. Zimba says politicians ought to know that the country has never held competitive elections like this year’s election, and thus the need to ensure they embrace their opponents.
He says campaigns of character assassination should be discouraged.
