The Anti-Voter Apathy Project (AVAP) has warned that the referendum on bill of rights is bound to fail if sensitization does not start in good time.

AVAP Executive Director Richwell Mulwani says his organization has noted that people in the country do not know how they are going to vote in the referendum less than 90 days before it is held alongside the elections.

Mr. Mulwani says this is a clear indication that more needs to be done in terms of sensitization on the holding of the referendum alongside the general election.

He says there is need to sensitize people for them to see the value of participating in both the elections and the referendum.

Mr. Mulwani says AVAP has observed that people have very little information on the referendum, especially those in rural areas where people have no access to the media.
