MMD leadership blocks faction convention

The opposition MMD has obtained an injunction restraining the faction group pushing for the convention from going ahead with the planned convention in Kabwe this weekend.

MMD Acting Spokesperson Reverend Reuben Sambo has told QFM News that an ex-parte hearing has since been set for 27^th May,2016.

Reverend Sambo says the planned convention is illegal because it has no blessings of the party president and National Executive Committee(NEC).

He says those that will choose to go ahead with the national convention called by suspended National Secretary Mwansa Mbulakulima will be going against the court order.
