Lungu hints on a reduction in load shedding

President Edgar Lungu has hinted that load shedding in the Country could reduce by mid next month owing to the improved water levels.

President Lungu says government intends to reduce the current power deficit from 1000 mega watts to below 400 mega watts in two months time.

Speaking when he addressed a media conference held in Lusaka yesterday, President Lungu disclosed that government has taken bold steps to turn around the current situation.

He says this is especially that water levels for power generation have also improved slightly.

President Lungu adds that government’s focus is to make the Country’s energy sector more diversified.
