No abuse of public resources by Ministers during campaigns – Lungu

PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu says he will not allow Ministers to abuse public resources during campaigns in view of their continued holding on to office.

Speaking during a press conference at State house today, President Lungu says the PF has enough capacity to organize resources and will not abuse public resources.

He has since warned those planning to harass Ministers in view of their continued stay in office that the law will visit them.

President Lungu says though he talks softly, he carries a big stick which he can use at any time.

And President Lungu called on political players to respect the media during the course of their duty.

He has since directed the Police to ensure the protection of the media from political violence.

President Lungu says the media should count on the PF as a partner in the execution of their work.

Meanwhile President Lungu has clarified that the funding for markerteers empowerment fund is coming from well-wishers who belong to the Patriotic Front.
