LAZ encouraged to take defiant Ministers to court

The opposition Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) has encouraged the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) to proceed to the Constitutional Court and seek the interpretation of law with regards the status of ministers following the dissolution of Parliament.

FDD Chairman for Labour Joe Wampata tells QFM News via telephone that it is the hope of every citizen that the Constitutional Court will be above bold determination of the matter.

Mr. Wampata adds that what is worrying is that even President Edgar Lungu is in support of Ministers remaining in office following the dissolution of Parliament.

He says the matter at hand is an important one which deserves serious attention from the courts of law.
