Defiant Ministers should be charged – Msoni

All People’s Congress president Nason Msoni has charged that Ministers who will cling on to their positions after the dissolution of Parliament should be charged for trespass of public office.

Mr. Msoni says there is no legitimacy for ministers to continue holding on to their positions after Parliament is dissolved.

He has wondered as to whom they will be accountable to if Parliament to which they belong has ceased to operate.

Mr. Msoni has told Qfm news from the United Kingdom that Zambians should seek the interpretation of the Constitutional Court with regards Ministers continuing to hold office after Parliament is dissolved.

Mr. Msoni states that the dissolution of Parliament in itself nullifies Members of Parliament’s legitimate claim to public office.
