Banda urges implementation of interparty indaba resolutions

National House of Prayer advisory board Chairperson Bishop Joshua Banda has called on political leaders to implement the resolutions of the interparty meeting on ending political violence.

Bishop Banda says it is shocking that political cadres have continued to perpetrate political violence despite political leaders agreeing to end the vice during their meeting.

He says politicians and political party leaders in particular should stand by their word and urge their supporters to adhere to the Indaba resolutions.

Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka today, Bishop Banda has also urged youths to refuse to be used as tools of political violence by selfish politicians.

Bishop Banda says there is need for all Zambians to uphold peace, before, during and after the elections.

Meanwhile, Bishop Banda has disclosed that the National House of Prayer has received K7,500 from a group that came from Kabwe who also pledged continue support to the noble cause of constructing the National House of Prayer.

He says the national house of has continued to receive support from Zambians in form of financial and spiritual support.

The construction of the national house of prayer is estimated to cost 10 million United States dollars.
