The Examinations Council of Zambia says it has no intentions of decentralizing the verification process of Grade 12 Certificates.

ECZ Executive Director Dr. Michael Chilala says this is for security reasons.

He says the council will instead continue to conduct the verification of Certificates through the service centre in Woodlands area and the head office.

Dr. Chilala says the verification exercise is going on smoothly with an overwhelming response from members of the public wishing to contest the forthcoming elections.

There have been concerns from various stakeholders that the process of verifying Grade 12 certificates is proving costly especially to people who have travel from outside Lusaka.
