Tell voters the truth,politicians told

Politicians have been urged to be truthful to voters and avoid making election promises they know they would never fulfill.

Every Home for Christ Regional Director Bishop Dr. Richard Kakuwa says politicians should not make promises simply to woo voters.

Bishop Kakuwa says there is no reason for politicians to resort to desperate measures simply to gain power.

And Bishop Kakuwa has urged the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to uphold transparency in the electoral process in order to build public confidence and in order to ensure the outcome of the elections is acceptable to all.

He adds that the Commission has a responsibility to be neutral and fair to all the political parties.
