Islamic Supreme Council counsels MMD leaders

The Islamic Supreme Council of Zambia has advised MMD leaders to put aside their personal differences and unite.

Council President Suzyo Zimba says the unfolding drama in the former ruling party is worrisome especially that the party is considered to be one of the most democratic parties in the country.

Mr. Zimba says it is disappointing to see the once mighty party in the country turning into the weakest because of the way internal wrangles have been handled.

Mr. Zimba has warned that the MMD risks being extinct if the internal differences are not resolved as member will opt to join other progressive parties.
