Mumba seeks help from chiefs

Embattled MMD President Dr. Nevers Mumba says Chiefs have a role to play in helping the former ruling party return to power and finish what they embarked on while in power.

Dr. Mumba said this is Lundazi when he met Chief Mphamba of the Tumbuka people at his palace.

Dr. Mumba says while in office, the MMD embarked on an ambitious program of developing Zambia and Chiefs were not left out as the MMD administration embarked on the construction of Chiefs’ palaces across  the country.

He says it is not easy to be in the opposition and that he took over the realm of the opposition when the party just lost power to the ruling PF.

Speaking at the same event, Chief Mphamba says he appreciates the efforts that Dr. Mumba made when he was Republican Vice President as he brought electricity to the area easing life for the people in the area.
