Unemployment is due to tribalism- ZED

The opposition Zambians for Empowerment (ZED) has attributed the high levels of unemployment in Zambia to tribalism and corruption.

The ZED is of the view that tribalism and corruption must not therefore be overlooked as the Country ponders on addressing the issue of unemployment.

ZED spokesperson Wesley Miyanda has observed that tribalism and corruption have gone a long way to derail the employment systems in the Country.

Mr. Miyanda says his party has taken note that tribalism and corruption is what has been cutting off well qualified people from being employed in the public service.

He notes that his party believes that unemployment is however a major problem that should not be glossed over.

Mr. Miyanda states that ZED is encouraging government to make the necessary change needed to create employment opportunities for youths in the country.

He says his party thinks that it is possible to create many employment avenues if government adopts the right attitude and leadership.
