The opposition UPND says the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) will only increase the level of suspicion if it insists on having ballot papers printed in Dubai.

UPND Spokesperson Charles Kakoma says the UPND has concerns on how Al Ghurair Printing and Publishing company was selected as the preferred bidder.

He says the UPND has taken note that the ECZ did not consult stakeholders such as political parties and civil society organizations.

Mr. Kakoma has wondered why a tendering process of public interest of this nature can be conducted without involving such stakeholders.
