Continued use of hate speech worries SACCORD

The Southern African Center for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (SACCORD) has noted with concern that political parties are still using hate speech in their communication despite resolving to renounce such during their recent interparty meeting.

SACCORD Executive Director Boniface Cheembe says his organization has taken note that communication among political parties still has a taste of hate speech and violence.

Mr. Cheembe says SACCORD is afraid that if such communication continues the efforts being made to curb violence in the Country will prove futile.

He says SACCORD hopes that as the elections date draws closer, political parties will pay attention to upholding to the resolutions of the interparty meeting.
