FDD Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza says there is no justification to print the ballot papers in Dubai when ballot papers have always been printed in South Africa.

He says the ECZ has a responsibility to ensure the elections are free and fair, and that this can only be achieved if the ECZ allows the will of the people to prevail.

Mr. Mwanza says the insistence by the Electoral Commission of Zambia to print ballots in Dubai even when stakeholders are against the idea raises a lot of suspicions.

He says the FDD is beginning to think that the ECZ is allegedly conniving with the ruling PF to print the ballots in Dubai to make it easy to manipulate the outcome.

Mr. Mwanza has since appealed to the ECZ to allow the will of the people to prevail by printing ballots papers where they have always printed them from.
