President Lungu has not picked Nawakwi as running mate – Chama

Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Chama has dismissed as mere speculation reports suggesting that President Edgar Lungu has finally settled for FDD leader Edith Nawakwi as his presidential running mate.

Mr. Chama says to the best of his knowledge, no such decision has been made by the President.

He however, says it is President Lungu’s preserve to choose who he wants to run with in the 11^th August elections.

Mr. Chama says the President will therefore name his running mate once he has made his choice.
