Govt advised to print ballots locally

Ballot-Papers

Government has been advised to equip the Government Printers to enable it print ballot papers for the forthcoming elections to avoid confusion.

Zambia National Women’s Lobby Board Chairperson Beauty Katebe says it is not necessary to start creating confusion over the printing of ballot papers.

Ms. Katebe says what stakeholders should advocate for is the printing of ballot papers locally.

She says this is important in order to avoid all the suspicions that come with the printing of ballot papers abroad.

Ms Katebe says Zambia has the capacity to print ballot papers locally by revamping and supporting financially the Government Printers.
