ZANASU expecting Students’ loan scheme tabled before parley
The Zambia National Students Union (ZANASU) says it expects the students’ loan scheme bill to be tabled before Parliament is dissolved.
ZANASU Vice president Prince Ndoyi says there is need to urgently shift to the students’ loan scheme from the bursary system especially after the unrest that happened at the two highest learning institutions in the country leading to their closure.
Mr. Ndoyi says the bursary scheme is no longer sustainable and is archaic, hence the need to replace it with the loan scheme.
He further states that the students’ loan scheme will benefit many students as it will be a revolving fund.
