Peace thrives on adherence to God’s commandments -KK

DSC00829First Republican President Kenneth Kaunda says adherence to God’s commandments is what he believes makes peace to thrive in any nation.

Speaking when a delegation of African Union (AU) called on him at his office yesterday, Dr Kaunda observed that Countries also develop because of following God’s commandments.

And Dr. Kaunda has expressed optimism that  the AU’s Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC) which has been moved to Lusaka from Ethiopia will be beneficial in many ways.

He says given how important this organ of the AU is, he also certain that President Edgar Lungu will secure the right place for the construction of its secretariat.

And leader of the visiting AU delegation Joseph Chilengi said his delegation finds it an honor to come and implement the decision of the AU to transfer ECOSOCC to Lusaka.

Dr. Chilengi says the transfer of this AU organ is in fact an honor to Dr. Kaunda for the effort he put in for the struggle for pan-Africanism.

And Zambia’s Ambassador to Ethiopia Permanent Representative to the AU Susan Sikaneta expressed delight that she presented the proposal to the AU submit for ECOSOCC to be based in Lusaka in honor of Dr. Kaunda.
