CSPR hopes Parliament will address concerns on FISP

The Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) is hoping that Parliament will address the submissions it made to the house which include those pertaining to the implementation of the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) before parliament is dissolved.

CSPR Information and Communications Officer Maxson Nkhoma says the nation still has high poverty levels which require serious efforts to address.

He says CSPR submitted to the House for possible consideration proposals regarding the implementation of the FISP initiative as the agriculture sector remains one of the cardinal sectors in alleviating poverty in the country.

Mr. Nkhoma says women have also been identified as key partners in development, hence the need to empowering them with land so that they can use their skills for various developmental projects.
