ZAM counsels musicians

The Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM) has called on musicians in the country to help promote peace and unity as the country draws nearer to the August 11th elections.

ZAM President Njoya Tembo says musicians should denounce all forms of violence through music so that the nation can hold peaceful polls.

He notes that musicians have a huge role to play in the holding of free and fair elections.

Mr. Tembo says musicians must understand their influence in communities and use their talent to promote peace and not driving agendas of political parties.

He adds musicians should be seen promoting peace and unity through music and not preaching hatred.
