PROTUZ members warned against issuing unapproved statements

The Professional Teachers Union of Zambia (PROTUZ) is dismayed that there are some of its members that are issuing statements to the media without permission from it.

Union acting Public Relations Officer Nelson Mwale says his union’s concern is that the statements being made boarder on matters that are already before the court.

Mr. Mwale states that the position of his union is that the due process of the law must be allowed to run its course.

He says his union thus urges the media to verify with the union’s public relations department whenever any of its member attempts to issue a statement as to whether it has been approved or not.

Mr. Mwale has warned that the union will take disciplinary action to any of its members that issues a statement to the media without the consent of the union authority.
