Govt asked to reveal savings from lifted subsidies

UPND Lusaka Province Publicity Secretary, Muyunda Masheke has demanded to know how much Government has saved from the time it announced the removal of subsidies on Maize and fuel.

Mr. Masheke says this is considering that three years has passed since government removed subsidies on maize and fuel in a moved it claimed was aimed at facilitating practical and equitable resource distribution among the general populace.

He says government should tell the Zambian people how the money arising from these measures has been utilised.
