Nakachinda calls for MMD convention

Suspended MMD Spokesperson Raphael Nakachinda says there is need for the former ruling party to go for the convention to elect a new leadership.

Mr. Nakachinda says this is the only way the party will be force to reckon with in the forthcoming elections.

He says the mandate for the current party leadership is coming to an end this month, hence the need for the convention.

Mr. Nakachinda notes that the convention is the only way the party will resolve its differences.

He adds that even President Edgar Lungu has made it clear that a PF/MMD alliance can only work if the party resolves its differences.
