The ruling PF in Monze District has charged that no member found engaging in violence will be protected by the party leadership following the warning by President Edgar Lungu that anyone found engaging in violence will be automatically expelled from the party.

President Lungu has publicly denounced political violence and warned that any member of the Patriotic Front who perpetrates the vice excommunicates himself or herself from the ruling party.

PF Monze District Chairman Gilbert Mwila says the warning of the Head of State is clear and that the party leadership will not come to the aid of anyone found wanting.

He says President Lungu must be commended for taking a leading role in denouncing political violence in the country and that all party leaders must follow suit.

Mr. Mwila, who is also seeking to be adopted on the PF ticket for the Chilubi Parliamentary seat, says Zambians should endeavor to promote the peace and unity that the freedom fighters fought so hard to get.
