UPND Chairman for Rural Reconstruction Moono Mapani
UPND Chairman for Rural Reconstruction Moono Mapani says the farmers across the country are willing to diversify the agriculture sector but that they are de-motivated with response from government.
Mr. Mapani says government should not just sing about diversifying the sector, but be seen to act positively in meeting the requirements needed to diversify the agriculture sector.
Mr. Mapani states that he has been interacting with the farmers and most of them have complained that government has failed them by failing to supply other seeds apart from the usual maize seeds.
He says government should ensure that in the 2016/2017 farming season the program is implemented effectively if the agriculture sector is to be diversified.
