Nawakwi gets more for claiming Lungu wants her

Opposition FDD leader Edith Nawakwi has continued receiving condemnation for allegedly insinuating that President Edgar Lungu is courting her to become his presidential running mate.

The ruling PF youths in Lusaka province are disappointed that Ms. Nawakwi can make such an alleged insinuation when it is not possible for President Lungu to do such a thing.

In a walk in interview PF Lusaka province youth information and Publicity secretary Stanley Chiumya has wondered how President Lungu can court Ms. Nawakwi when she has always been critical of him.

Mr. Chiumya has advised Ms. Nawakwi to however realize that the ruling PF is not short for women to run alongside President Lungu in this year’s general elections.

He says the ruling PF in fact boasts of being a political party that has many women with the caliber that President Lungu will need for a female running mate.
