FDD tells Lungu to end political violence

The opposition Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) says it agrees with the opposition UPND on the need to approach calls for dialogue on political violence with pure hearts.

FDD Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza, however, notes that it is not necessary to call for an Indaba to discuss issues of violence when President Edgar Lungu has the power to end.

Mr. Mwanza says it is therefore not necessary to start wasting public funds when the solution to end violence lies in the hands of the President.

He has since called on President Lungu to use the powers vested in him to end the political violence in the country.
