Nkhoma urges govt to reduce inflation to single digit

Economist Noel Nkhoma has urged government to focus on reducing the inflation rate from double to single digit.

Mr. Nkhoma says government should not relent in its efforts to bring down inflation from the current 22.9 percent.

And Mr. Nkhoma has advised government to stick to the 2016 budget as the nation goes to the elections.

He says government should only spend what is provided for in the budget and avoid embarking on projects for the sake of pleasing electorates.
