TIZ makes recommendations on graft fighting

Transparency International Zambia (TIZ) has encouraged President Edgar Lungu not to ignore calls to take action against controlling officers who were cited in the 2014 Auditor General’s report.

And the organization has observed that President Lungu has recorded some successes and failures in the fight against corruption.

TIZ Executive Director Goodwell Lungu says President Lungu must be applauded for not protecting anyone when found wanting.

Mr. Lungu has however noted the need for the Head of State to take quick action against controlling officers cited in the 2014 Auditor General’s report.

He says the President is inspiring confidence in the fight against graft but that he should not relax but continue fighting hard so that the vice is curbed in the country.
