Solution to ending violence lies in dealing with root cause – Hamududu

Bweengwa Member of Parliament Highvie Hamududu says political violence can only end in Zambia if the nation deals with its root cause.
Mr. Hamududu says the causes of violence in the Country are mainly hate speech and innuendos.

In an interview with QTV Mr. Hamududu who is also chairperson of on Expanded Parliamentary Committee on Estimates says these are the two that make a fertile ground for eruption of violence.

Mr. Hamududu says this means that there is need to tone down on hate speech and innuendos.

He says in his view politics must be based on issues and therefore he is calling upon all political parties to begin advocating for issue based politics.

Mr. Hamududu says if politics is made a competition of ideas Zambia can be healed from the current political intolerance as people will begin to see each other as brothers and sisters.
