PF,UPND desperate – Simutanyi

Political analyst Neo Simutanyi says the continued violent clashes involving the opposition UPND and ruling Patriotic Front cadres ahead of August 11th general election is a sign of desperation.

Dr. Simutanyi notes that both the opposition UPND and ruling PF are in fact indicating that neither of them will concede defeat in the August elections.

In an interview with Qfm news, Dr. Simutanyi notes that this is because both political parties are suspicious of each other.

Dr. Simutanyi is however, of the view that the two main political parties should restrain their members from perpetrating violence before it escalates to uncontrollable levels ahead of the elections.
