HH will remain in opposition after August elections – Lungu

President Edgar Lungu has charged the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) Leader Hakainde Hichilema will still remain in the opposition after August 11th General Elections.

President Lungu says the behavior that the UPND exhibits goes to show that he is not yet ready to take up the leadership mantle.

The Head of State has advised Mr. Hichilema to quit politics saying he is aware the he will lose to him once again.

He says it is also worrying that the UPND Leader is already disputing the election results even before have voted which shows that he is fully aware that he is loosing for the fifth time.

Speaking when he addressed Chanida residents in Eastern Province this afternoon, president Lungu says he will not allow confusion in the name of democracy.

And President Lungu has assured the nation that he is poised to maintain peace saying he has ideas and solutions that will ensure that the dignity of the human race is respected and protected.

He says his administration will do everything possible to ensure that the 11th August General Elections are free and fair.
