Lungu reemphasizes need to have peaceful August elections

President Edgar Lungu has reemphasized the need for Zambians to go into the August 11th General Elections with peaceful minds.

Speaking during a mini rally in Chama District this afternoon, President Lungu has told people to campaign and vote peacefully on August 11th as they give the PF another 5 year mandate owing to its remarkable record on infrastructure development.

President Lungu has told the cheering crowd at a rally that the township and trunk roads the PF has built in the area entitles it to another term of office.

President Lungu says the developments in the district are there for all to see.

The President earlier toured roads and the market before addressing a rally in the district.

The President later proceeded to Lundazi to commission a branch for Indo Zambia Bank.

The President is in Eastern Province on a three-day working visit that will take him to Mfuwe, Chama, Lundazi, Vubwi, Chadiza Katete and Chipata.
