RPP to support UPND

RPP President Musendeka Lukuku

The opposition Republican Progressive Party (RPP) has resolved to support the United Party for National Development (UPND) in the August 11^th General Elections.

RPP President Musendeka Lukuku announced the development at a press briefing in Lusaka this morning.

Mr. Lukuku explains that the decision was arrived at after the realization that his party was not ready to go through the forthcoming elections on its own.

He adds that the sole purpose of backing the UPND is to ensure that the UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema wins the elections after the conviction that the UPND is able to transform the nation.

Mr. Lukuku has urged RPP members to work well with the UPND so as to ensure that come August 11^th, they emerge victorious.

He has further thanked the UPND for giving them the opportunity to work with them ahead of the general elections.
