Zimba advises MMD to deal with wrangles internally

The Islamic Supreme Council of Zambia (ISCZ) has advised the former ruling party MMD to promote inter party democracy if they are to go into the general elections a stronger party.

Council President Suzyo Zimba says the MMD is known for promoting democracy in the country and that it is worrying to see them failing to deal with their issues adequately.

Mr. Zimba says the former ruling party must demonstrate that they can be trusted with power again by resolving their differences amicably.

He says all political parties must learn from the short comings of the MMD by ensuring that in time of disputes, they deal with them internally without involving the media.

He has also cautioned the party that if they fail to deal with their issues now, they risk going into the elections a divided party.
