Mulongoti calls for urgent meeting on political violence

People’s Party president Mike Mulongoti has called for an emergency meeting of all political party leaders to address the issue of political violence.

Mr. Mulongoti says the increasing cases of political violence are worrying and need to be addressed by political leaders.

He notes that the mere condemnation of incidents of violence by political leaders will not help curb the vice.

Mr. Mulongoti states that there is no way cadres can act on their own without being told what to do, stating that it is not in their DNA to wake up and start attacking people for no reason.

Meanwhile Mr. Mulongoti who is also former MMD Chairperson for elections has advised MMD President Dr. Mumba to go for the convention.
