Former Local Government and Housing Minister, Emmanuel Chenda has noted the need to cut down on red-tape in the usage of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

Mr. Chenda is concerned that red-tape in the use of CDF is delaying the implementation of projects.

In an interview with QFM News, Mr. Chenda who is also PF Bwana Mkubwa Member of Parliament says much as the CDF allocation is not enough, with proper application it can be very useful.

Mr. Chenda notes that there is also need for increased involvement of people at community level in decision making on formulation and implementation of CDF funded projects.
