TIZ recommends dismissal to those involved in theft at ZNFU

Transparency International Zambia (TIZ) has recommended the outright dismissal of all those involved in the fraud and theft at the Zambia National Farmers Union (ZNFU) involving K34 million.

TIZ Information Officer Charles Chulu has told QTV News says the misapplication of the funds will affect the poor farmers who are supposed to benefit from the funds.

He says the happenings at ZNFU are a sad development especially that it comes at a time when the 2014 Auditor General’s report has revealed the misapplication of K73.6 million.

Mr. Chulu says TIZ also calls on investigative wings to ensure that whistle blowers are protected from losing their jobs.
