Selection of bidders to print August 11th elections reach advanced stage

The Electoral Commission of Zambia says the selection of the successful bidder for the printing of ballot papers for the 11th August elections has reached an advanced stage.

ECZ Public Relations Manager Crispin Akufuna has told QTV News that the Commission will soon announce the successful bidder once the evaluation process has been completed.

He has reiterated that the Commission has no problem with a local printer winning the tender as long as such as a company meets the specifications.

Mr. Akufuna says the Commission remains committed to having ballot papers for the August 11 elections printed locally.
