Mpepo angered by some contractors

NAMSSC has urged local contractors to stop denting the image of the local construction industry

The National Association for Medium and Small Scale Contractors (NAMSSC) has urged local contractors to stop denting the image of the local construction industry by ensuring they carryout quality works and within schedule.

Association President Mutale Mpepo says the association is saddened with local contractors who abandon projects.

Mr. Mpepo says local contractors should strive to build a good reputation for themselves and earn trust with the government and the people of Zambia so that they continue to be awarded contracts.

He has however, noted that there various reasons why local contractors abandon works among them delayed payment.

Mr. Mpepo states that there is need to get to the root cause of why local contractors do not complete their projects after being awarded contracts.
