UPND refutes claims of causing confusion in MMD

The United Party for National Development (UPND) has distanced itself from the confusion that has rocked the MMD over the holding of the convention.

UPND Secretary General Stephen Katuka says the accusations that the UPND is behind the confusion in the former ruling party in an effort to scatter plans of an MMD/PF alliance are unfounded.

Mr. Katuka adds that this is especially that the confusion in the MMD started last year.

He states that it is clear that MMD members who are not for idea of the alliance with the PF want to protect their integrity, while those who favour the idea of the alliance want to save their own interests.
