The Evangelical Youth Alliance International is concerned that some politicians have already started engaging in politics of character assassination ahead of the August 11th general elections have started.

Alliance President Reverend Moses Lungu says people expect politicians to conduct themselves in an elderly manner unlike what is obtaining in the political sphere.

Reverend Lungu says political party leaders must set a tone upon which their followers will build on if the country is to conduct peaceful polls.

He says it is therefore important that all political players refrain from practicing politics of character assassination as well as avoid provoking each other so as to conduct peaceful polls.

Meanwhile, Reverend Lungu has advised MMD Members of Parliament to reason with party leadership over outstanding issues in the party and not resolve to dismantle the party.
