PF accuse HH of mocking students

The ruling PF has accused the UPND President Hakainde Hichilema of mocking students at University of Zambia and Copperbelt University.

PF Media, Publicity and Committee Member Sunday Chanda tells QFM News in a statement that it is unthinkable that a man who seeks to win the hearts and minds of students can reduce their grievances and start mocking them openly.

Mr. Chanda wonders how the UPND Leader expects to be taken seriously by students when he makes fun of their grievances.

He says Zambians with the gift of wisdom, including students of goodwill at both UNZA and CBU understand that the civilised mode of engagement is dialogue.

He adds that PF in Government appreciates that these students must and will get their meal allowances but to use that as a reason to destroy public and private property becomes a wrong thing to do.

Mr. Chanda says the PF remains committed to ensuring that Zambia’s education system gets better and this is demonstrated in the amount of investment the sector has received in the last four (4) years.
