ZAPD welcomes exemption of special needs grade 12s from paying exam fees

The Zambia Agency for Persons with Disability has welcomed the move by the Ministry of General Education to exempt Grade 12 pupils with special needs from paying examination fees.

ZAPD Information Officer, John Kinuna has observed pupils with special needs struggle to attempt examinations because they cannot afford to pay fees.

Mr. Kinuna has also called on government to extend the gesture to all grades so that pupils with special needs have access to education.
He says education is important to everyone regardless of their status.
