ZCSD happy Zambia has enough maize stocks

The Zambia Council for Social Development (ZCSD) is happy with the assurance from Agriculture Minister Given Lubinda that the country has enough maize stocks.

ZCSD Executive Secretary Lewis Mwape says what his organisation does not want to see are the people of Zambia going hungry.

Mr. Mwape says it is their hope that government knows what they are talking about, considering the confusing statements being issued on the food status of the country.

Mr. Mwape has since wondered how the issue of maize importation came up if the country has enough stocks to last up to July 2017.
