The Anti- Voter Apathy Project (AVAP) has advised political parties forming alliances to reach out to consult their grassroots about such political decisions to avoid divisions amongst their party members.
AVAP Executive Director Richwell Mulwani says his organization thinks that there is no better time than now for political parties seeking to forge alliances to engage their members on the grassroots.
Mr. Mulwani has told Qfm News by telephone that his organization has taken note that alliances are being negotiated by the top leadership of political parties without the involvement of the grassroots.
He notes that if there is going to be acceptance of these alliances, it is important that the grassroots are communicated to about such political decisions.
