ZESCO limited says it has managed to address the low voltage challenge that was affecting residents of Kafue District.

ZESCO Spokesperson Henry Kapata has also stated that the company is managing to meet the increasing demand for electricity in the district with over 180 customers being connected every month.

Mr. Kapata says the customer base for Kafue has increased rapidly with over 12, 800 customers now connected to electricity.

He says the company has also constructed a 63 MVA substation in Kafue as well as upgraded the Livingston turnoff substation in order to increase the service delivery for the people of Kafue.

Mr. Kapata tells QFM News that residents of Kalundwe, Solobani, Zambia Compound and Mtendere in Kafue had been complaining of low voltages, but that this challenge has now been addressed.
